A complete renovation of two floors encompassing 22 existing dorm rooms with full baths, build out of private spaces and common areas including: staff lounge, recreation room, family visiting area, performance space, lounge areas, floating kitchens, dining area, computer/library room and staff offices on each floor.  In addition, the existing medical center was expanded to incorporate private offices, exam room, waiting area and a pass through that would connect to the main building.

The Client wanted a clean design that incorporated color, varied flooring and visual distinction to define functional spaces in open areas.  Both floors were to have a congruent feel but have visual distinction.  A new entry was desired as well as custom kitchens, FF&E, built-ins and storage.

 

Sustainable materials and products were incorporated including: LED lighting, low water plumbing fixtures, linoleum flooring and post consumer recycled materials.
